Manager, Work Execution Lines & Stations

Responsibilities:
As a member of our Management team, the successful candidate is responsible for leading the Churchill Falls Lines & Stations asset group within the established NL Hydro Asset Management Framework including the management of associated trades, tools and equipment as required to execute the weekly, monthly and annual asset work plans. You will ensure that work is performed with a focus on safety, the environment, quality, cost, schedule, productivity, and effectiveness, and will provide reporting on these work execution metrics. You will recognize the dynamic nature of long and short-term asset work plans and leverage the expertise of others, and provide input to the long-term planning function.
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. You are responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
Job Requirements:
You will have graduated from a recognized university with an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Technology or have an equivalent level of technical education combined with demonstrated technical knowledge and experience. You will have ten years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the electrical utility industry including supervisory experience. Shall have a high degree of demonstrated technical knowledge for the assets assigned. For engineers, you must be a member in good standing with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.
You possess highly developed interpersonal communications skills and demonstrated strong work ethic, with a flexible and positive attitude and are able to implement strategy through good interpretation of cost estimate data, project scheduling and risk analysis. You possess a good working knowledge of computers with appropriate awareness of various corporate applications as necessary, which may include the Microsoft suite of applications, JD Edwards, computerized inventory and maintenance programs. You also possess a valid driver's license.
