Electrical Engineer (Project Planning)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review approved FEED alignment documents and prepare the plans and effort for budget applications.
• Prepare estimates, schedules, and resource requirements for capital projects.
• Prepare technical justification proposals for capital projects.
• Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Review and approve reports prepared by consultants.
• Interface between the operations and maintenance team and the project execution team.
• Provide technical input as a team member for projects and other technical documentation.
• Travel to site as required within Newfoundland and Labrador.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships throughout the company.
• Ability to thrive as a participant and/or leader within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Project management experience or certification.
• Experience working with MS Office.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Member in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL).
• Experience in estimating, technical writing, and project management techniques.
• General knowledge of the hydroelectric utility or other capital intensive industry.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
