Oetjgoapeniag Elnoei Family Services is seeking to hire a qualified Social Worker to be employed under Prevention Services and in our Child in Care departments. The agency is a fully accredited by the Minister of Social Development for the Province of New Brunswick and is located in the community of Elsipogtog First Nation, New Brunswick.
Position summary: Under the direction of one of the supervisors, you will become proficient with the duties of the Social Worker in the area of Prevention Services or in Child in Care. The purpose of this position is to carry a case load that will deliver a broad range of counselling, education, capacity building and support services designed to protect and enhance the lives and relationships of children and their families.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Social Work and be (or eligible to become) a member of the NBASW
- A genuine interest in working with Mi'kmaq culture.
- Previous experience in adoption services or child welfare preferred.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to advocating for the best interests of children and families.
Additional Requirements:
- First aid / CPR
- Clean: Social Development check, criminal record/Vulnerable Sector check and Driver's Abstract
- Valid driver's license/ vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
Salary & Benefits:
- $71,000 - $87,000 / Year (+17.6%)

Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional evenings/weekends (On-Call Responsibilities)
