Position Overview:
The City of Saint John is seeking a highly motivated Journeyman Welder to join our Outside Workers operational team in Fleet Management. This role maintains and repairs the vehicles and equipment, water and sewer materials, piping, and structures for the City of Saint John. The successful applicant will be adaptable, proficient, and skilled in the use and care of all types of welding apparatus.
Applicants must possess:
- A valid Journeyperson Welder License
- At least 3 years' experience at the journeyperson level
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License
- The aptitude to learn and adapt to new workplace technologies
- The ability to develop in the municipal public service
