Job Description

Canadian Health Solutions based in Saint John, NB, is a growing group of health service companies that develop and provide leading medical and research services. We are currently looking to enhance our Project Management Team with a Senior Solutions Project Manager.

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience in working with Business Owners, Management Teams and Software Development teams. Specifically, you should be able to translate business objectives into concise requirements and facilitate teams to prioritized solutions. You will be instrumental to ensuring that our technical vision is achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Project Management services for and on behalf of the Employer.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, the software development team, and other key stakeholders in creating medical and administrative content templates and software applications that support the efficient delivery of health assessment and treatment services.
  • Translate business objectives into concise technical requirements and facilitate teams to prioritized solutions.
  • Facilitate and coordinate a project team of software developers to help achieve our technical vision.
  • Be a key contributor to the "living" roadmap for software development projects, including defining scope, allocation of resources, and milestones.
  • Ensure that project resources are aware of deliverable dependencies within the team, and that deliverable priorities are communicated clearly to team members on a weekly basis.
  • Foster positive collaboration among all members of the Software Development Team and company stakeholders involved in project deliverables.
  • Understand and effectively prioritize competing demands.
  • Other technical development and solutioning requirements assigned from time to time.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a project management role, particularly in Software Development projects;
  • University degree or a combination of Community College and experience is required, science-related would be preferred (e.g. Computer Science);
  • PMP or Prince2 Certification is required;
  • Experience facilitating project activities from initiation to close out (i.e. scope, schedule, resource and cost management);
  • Experience in Agile methodology preferred, and certification considered an asset, but not required;
  • Experience in the principles, techniques, and methods used to elicit, analyze, and document user requirements;
  • Experience in specific project execution activities, including issue/risk management, change control, testing and solution implementation;
  • Strong experience with project management tools;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and proficient Excel skills;
  • Ability to understand an organization's goals and objectives and be able to prioritize work to these objectives;
  • Experience with contracts management and preparing reports for stakeholders;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English;
  • Must be able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language;
  • Experience with ACOA/IRAP/SR&ED reporting considered an asset;
  • Must be able to liaise with and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources and stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills;
  • Must be highly self-motivated, resourceful, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Always maintain a friendly, customer service orientation both internally and externally;
  • Legal ability to work in Canada
