As part of the Marketing team, the Digital Brand Specialist will be part of driving NB Power's online experience by leading campaigns, optimizing websites for SEO (Search Engine Optimization), managing automation, email marketing, PPC (Pay-Per-Click advertising), and social media paid campaigns, while tracking performance metrics, budgets, and collaborating with teams to deliver impactful digital strategies.
Key functions include:
• Develop, implement, optimize, and report on digital marketing activities including social media, PPC (Pay-Per-Click advertising), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), email/e-newsletters, and webinars.
• Implement and manage marketing automation systems to improve efficiency and campaign performance.
• Collaborate with web, creative, marketing teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders to optimize websites, enhance online presence, and deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
• Lead the email marketing channel such as planning, creating, segmenting, testing, analyzing, and optimizing campaigns to boost engagement and conversions.
• Analyze and report on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), ROI (Return on Investment), and audience engagement with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; translate insights into actionable recommendations and continuous improvements.
• Manage digital media budgets, perform keyword research, generate SEO (Search Engine Optimization), content topics, and support webinar delivery including promotion, technical execution, and performance reporting.
• Candidates must have led digital initiatives that reached audiences of 50,000+, with measurable impact on engagement or conversion.
Our ideal teammate will have:
• A Bachelor of Business Administration with a Marketing related concentration, combined with five years of experience in digital marketing, including a minimum of two years of leading digital marketing with budget allocation and reconciliation accountabilities.
OR
• A marketing certificate from an accredited college and seven years of experience in digital marketing, including a minimum of two years of leading digital marketing with budget allocation and reconciliation accountabilities
Combined with demonstrated experience in:
• Managing email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, automation, and performance analysis.
• Leading digital marketing strategies, not just supporting them which includes budget planning, platform selection, and performance optimization.
• Marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design, execute, and optimize automated campaigns. Experience must go beyond basic platform use
• Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and Looker Studio, with a strong ability to build custom dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for optimizing digital marketing strategies.
• Writing creative briefs, strategy documents and reports
• Translating business goals into digital strategy, with experience presenting to leadership and influencing cross-departmental priorities.
• End-to-end campaign management, not limited to content creation or platform setup
• Managing and optimizing high-budget PPC and paid social campaigns (minimum $25K/campaign), including full ownership of strategy, execution, and reporting.
• A/B testing, landing page optimization, and conversion rate improvement strategies using tools like Optimizely, Google Optimize, or Hotjar
• Aligning digital content strategy with customer journey stages, ensuring messaging supports awareness, consideration, and conversion.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
