Hours: Rotating Continental (0700 - 1900 / 1900 - 0700)
Pay Rate: $23.98/hr

Job Description:
In this key role, you will oversee a state-of-the-art healthcare command centre. Your role will include the following:
- SOC Operator is a shift lead role, responsible for the oversight of the security platoon.
- Responsible for orienting guards to their respective roles.
- Assist in tracking and deployment of security staff.
- Monitor and operate numerous command centre systems including, access control, CCTV, fire and life safety.
- Make emergency overhead announcements.
- Collaborate with the Security Coordinator on special projects.
- Assist in training new staff.
- Answer Telephones and dispatch calls from the command centre.
- Handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.
- Liaise with security staff, Paladin Operations Centre and assist with deployment.
- Liaise with visitors, clients and staff.
- Manage Lost & Found.
- Manage the issuance and return of facility keys and ID/Access cards.
- Issue Visitor and Contractor badges.
- Maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Write clear, concise, and legible reports.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Site Coordinator.
Requirements:
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Degree in Police Foundations, Protection, Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services
- Proof of double Covid Vaccination
- Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification (WSIB Approved)
- Experience working in a command or dispatch centre would be an asset
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
