SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director - Health Analytics, the successful candidate coordinates and uniformly implements MIS-related guidelines to obtain reliable financial and statistical data that are comparable at the local (between zone), provincial (between health network) and national levels. Is responsible for advising and informing the director and management staff on related documentation standards and their application as well as on the challenges encountered. Must suggest solutions to the problems identified. Is responsible for updating, compiling and electronically transferring the financial and statistical data required by government agencies and for producing various related reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate university degree in health, administration or a related field;
  • Training in statistics or a related field considered an asset;
  • Three years' in a similar position or Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) MIS-related experience;
  • Project management experience;
  • Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be taken into consideration;
  • Advanced Excel skills and proven expertise working with computerized systems and software packages (Access, Meditech, Microsoft Office suite, etc.);
  • Good organizational skills and ability to serve as a change agent;
  • Knowledge of hospital management and clinical operations;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills;
  • Communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
