SCHEDULE: Day, On Call, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, the Director of Logistics and Patient Flow is responsible for coordinating and optimising daily hospital operations within the facility. They work closely with other members of the executive management team to support Vitalité Health Network's mission, vision and strategic directions. The Director also serves as the Network's representative to various community partners, helping to build relationships of trust and align the facility's operations with the needs of the population.

Working in close collaboration with the zone's Medical Director and the directors of various sectors across the Network, they ensure the functionality of hospital services through an integrated and interdisciplinary approach. A true unifier, they rally teams around shared objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency. They are responsible for providing a structured framework for all activities related to patient flow and logistics, with the aim of delivering accessible, seamless, safe and high-quality health care services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in health, administration or management;
  • Master's degree (in business administration, public administration or health services management) considered an asset;
  • Eight to ten years of professional experience relevant to the position and/or in health services management;
  • Excellent knowledge of the hospital system, its administration and its legal framework;
  • Ability to rally and mobilize teams around a common vision in a complex, multidisciplinary environment;
  • Good knowledge of change management and continuous improvement within a context of organizational transformation;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and supervising hospital operations;
  • Proven versatility, adaptability and responsiveness;
  • Dynamic and innovative approach;
  • Ability to generate support and commitment;
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and outside field of expertise;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written);
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
