JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Nursing Services, the incumbent plans, organizes, coordinates and oversees the activities of the Protective Measures Management Program, ensuring the implementation of six main strategies that will promote a cultural shift within the organization toward the judicious use of protective measures. The Coordinator provides strategic leadership to support the integration of best practices across the organization and ensure ongoing program improvement. They know how to identify the right collaborators to build effective teams in the field, supporting the advancement of initiatives across Vitalité Health Network. They act as a change agent, supporting nursing teams, managers and directors. They also ensure the establishment and maintenance of monitoring mechanisms to facilitate data collection for analytical purposes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field;
  • Master's degree in health services management, business administration, public administration or a health-related field considered an asset;
  • Member in good standing of a health care professional regulatory body considered an asset;
  • Minimum of three to five years' experience in a clinical setting;
  • Experience working in a psychiatric care unit, in child psychiatry, or in a forensic or tertiary psychiatric facility considered an asset;
  • Proven experience in program implementation and evaluation;
  • Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
  • Professional coaching skills;
  • Ability to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts and create lasting partnerships;
  • Ability to distill, analyze, investigate, and solve problems;
  • Ability to prepare and deliver training sessions to groups of professionals;
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and forms;
  • Good knowledge of the operation, structure and organization of a health network considered an asset;
  • High professional credibility and strong ethical sense;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Ability to lead work teams;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment;
  • Strong interest in furthering own knowledge;
  • Proficiency in French and functional knowledge of English;
  • Availability to travel within the province as required;
  • Proficiency with computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
