JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice-President of the Learning Health System, the incumbent will play a strategic and transformative role in guiding, structuring, and accelerating Vitalité Health Network's transition to a learning and innovation-driven model. This collaborative role will operate within a cross-functional framework, engaging clinical leadership, technology services, research teams, and patients to ensure a shared and optimal experience across the health care system. The goal is to create a cohesive ecosystem where research, clinical data, care practices, technological advances, and shared knowledge converge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
More specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the following sectors: 1) Quality, Safety and Patient Experience; 2) Research and Health Evaluation; 3) Health Analytics; 4) Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence; 5) Technological Operations, Telecommunications and Cybersecurity.
The incumbent will be responsible for establishing a health innovation laboratory and identifying innovation activities within Vitalité Health Network. They will play a central role in promoting innovation both within and outside Vitalité Health Network and will be required to form numerous partnerships to create opportunities. Innovation in hospital settings is a process that requires close collaboration between various stakeholders in the health care system—such as healthcare professionals and researchers—in order to identify needs, develop innovative solutions, and implement them in practice to improve patient care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's or doctoral degree in a field related to health, health administration, clinical research, data science, or digital and information technology;
- Proven experience in a leadership role focused on learning systems, innovation or organizational transformation in the health care sector;
- Expertise in data analysis and management, application of scientific research knowledge to clinical care and adoption of emerging technologies;
- Experience in developing comprehensive strategies to enhance technological and digital assets that support a culture of evidence-based strategic decision-making;
- Experience in partnering with external stakeholders, including academic, research, industry and government partners;
- In-depth knowledge of health care systems and structures and related regulations in the province and elsewhere in Canada;
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage complex projects, with demonstrated strengths in communication and interdisciplinary collaboration;
- Seven to ten years' experience in a management position;
- Any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
- Strong work ethic and ability to provide a sense of safety to colleagues and team;
- Ability to support team members in their growth and in achieving their performance targets;
- Ability to support, hire, and encourage individuals who demonstrate the organizational values of Vitalité Health Network;
