Job Title: Outdoor Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm OR 3:30pm - 12:00am

Location: Steeles Ave & Harrop Drive, Milton

Rate of Pay: $22.00 - 24.00 / hour (based on experience) AND full benefits from day-1

Job Type: Permanent Hire

We are hiring permanent day and afternoon shift counterbalance forklift operators for our client's lumber and building supply yard in Milton. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of counterbalance experience, a good attitude, and must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. General labour required throughout the shift.

*Candidates must have a valid license and vehicle to commute to work, as the facility is not transit accessible*

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate 10,000lb capacity counterbalance forklift both indoors and outdoors
• Pick customer orders using RF scanner
• Safely load customer orders and secure with straps or chains
• Safely unload incoming materials from flatbed trailers
• Lift 50-60lbs regularly
• Other general labour tasks as assigned

Candidate Qualifications:

• Valid counterbalance forklift license
• Minimum 3 years of long-term and recent counterbalance experience
• MUST BE comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• MUST BE able to lift 50-60lbs repetitively
• Strong attention to detail and safety oriented
• Personal vehicle to commute to work as the facility is not transit accessible
