Title: Coordinator, Emergency management

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Team Operational Capacity Development, the incumbent will provide coordination support and administrative support to members of the CRC Emergency Management Workforce Team in Quebec.
In this role, you will:
- Support the recruitment of volunteers for the Ready When the Time Comes (RWTC) program.
- Coordinate and support the work of the Emergency Management workforce (volunteers, Government of Quebec's Emergency Preparedness Response Reserve, RWTC, etc.)
- Update records in the databases.
- Produce and check reports, lists, response documents, analyses and statistics.
- Conduct the appropriate follow-ups with the Emergency Management Workforce teams in a timely manner.
- Maintain and distribute operational documents.
- Coordinate follow-ups on service delivery methods.
- Coordinate event planning for Emergency Workforce team members.
- Help manage emergency equipment.
- Offer logistical assistance to Emergency Management teams.
- Perform on-call duty.
- Be available to support large-scale disaster responses.
- Be available and ready to mobilize during the deployment of the Emergency Preparedness Response Reserve.
What we are looking for:
- A college diploma in recreation, ambulance, police services, social sciences and humanities, or the equivalent.
- Experience in emergency response and preparedness.
- Experience in project and event coordination.
- Experience working in a volunteer environment is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Good writing skills.
- Able to work in a high-stress environment.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Bilingual English/French.
Working Conditions
- Will be working primarily remotely, or office environment. Must be able to travel within the province and across Canada when required.
- The schedule is 35 hours/week, but work hours may vary during local and national emergency operations.
- Possibility of responding in difficult, unstable (environmentally, physically, socially, etc.) and uncomfortable conditions that may impact physical and psychological conditions in the field.
