Assembler / Parts Fabricator (Mill and Lathe)

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Rate of Pay: $25.00 - $30.00/hour

Available Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Location: Burlington, ON - Guelph Line and Mainway

Start Date: Immediately (as soon as possible)

We are currently hiring a professional, driven, and mechanically inclined candidate to join our client's growing team. They are a global supplier and leader in the design, manufacturing, and consultation of packaging technology, applications, and products. This is a temporary to permanent hire opportunity with a fast-growing organization!

Responsibilities:

• Assemble labeling machines or other small equipment/machines following blueprints/drawings.
• Modify or fabricate parts using conventional mills and lathes.
• Evaluate field installations and recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Use hand tools, drills, and other power tools.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the assembly process.
• Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Millwright experience and/or assembly of machining equipment required, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Familiar with hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Works effectively individually and with a team.
• Possesses strong attention to detail.
• Able to lift 50lbs as needed.
• Creative, adaptable, and willing to learn in response to changing circumstances and challenges.
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search.
