POSITION: Youth Outreach Plus Social Worker

LOCATION: Amherst, Nova Scotia (Northern Region)

QUALIFICATIONS: Our organization is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for a full-time, permanent role. Eligible candidates must have a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree and experience working with youth and families.

This role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, active registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Reporting to the Youth Outreach Plus Program Coordinator, the Social Worker will provide two key services: collaborative case consultation for Youth Outreach Program staff to support complex case management, and intensive, goal-focused interventions delivered in the home and community.

This role focuses on supporting youth aged 16-24 who face multiple vulnerabilities with the goal of improving their immediate and long-term educational, vocational, social, economic, and health outcomes.

Persons considered for this position must have a clear police background check, a clear child abuse registry check, and a valid driver's license.
