Job Summary
As an active member of the Resident Care Team, the incumbent will participate in the delivery of quality resident care programs consistent with regional and site-specific program direction and objectives. The incumbent will provide leadership and direction to resident care staff operationalizing the principles of Resident Focused Care and Whole Systems Shared Governance. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, coordination and administration of all resident care services in the absence of administrative personnel. The incumbent will work closely with other managers such as the Resident Care Manager and Clinical Practice Leaders of all disciplines to ensure seamless delivery of quality resident care.

Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline is required.
Master's Degree preferred

Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience within the last five (5), preferably in a long-term care setting is required.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
Experience in resident focused care philosophy including knowledge of geriatric issues is preferred.
Experience using Meditech Payroll and/or scheduling would be an asset.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of quality management principles and processes.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated strong computer skills.

Other
Current registration with the relevant professional organization and licensing board is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
