JOB TYPE: Temporary full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY :

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide psychological care to patients with psychiatric disorders (mood, anxiety, and personality disorders) who are under the joint care of a psychiatrist. They will offer services such as psychological assessments and individual therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy and motivational therapy. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision and instruction to residents to support their development of psychotherapy skills. In short, they will contribute directly to the health care of patients with psychiatric disorders and to the training of residents. An interest in facilitating psychotherapy groups would be a major asset.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Licensed member of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick;
  • One year of progressive professional experience showcasing strong skills in leadership and psychology;
  • Interest and skills in working with clients;
  • Knowledge of Health Psychology, assessment and treatment of clients;
  • Skilled for partnership with other organizations / services involved with the client`s care;
  • Adaptability and flexibility;
  • Efficient communication;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Leadership and good decision making skills;
  • High level of professional autonomy;
  • Ability to word independently and as part of a team;
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
