The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, ESG to join our Sustainability team in Toronto.

This is a Fixed-term position.

As the Senior Analyst, ESG, you will lead and support ESG initiatives focused on social risk, human rights, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures compliance with GISTM social standards, drives ESG data reporting and analysis, and supports sustainability reporting and presentations. The position also leads due diligence action plans, develops tools for ESG transparency, and aligns sustainability efforts across corporate and operational teams.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Lead the development of an ESG information portal and coordinate response to external ESG questionnaires and surveys. Support leadership with data and materials for board-level presentations.
  • Collaborate across teams to gather and validate ESG data, maintain stakeholder records (including grievances and critical issues), and stay informed on evolving ESG policies and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of the annual Modern Slavery Report in compliance with Canadian legislation. Support sustainability reporting and third-party assurance processes (e.g., ICMM, TSM, VPS).
  • Manage ESG-related projects, including supervising consultants and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Lead the development and implementation of action plans from due diligence checks across North Atlantic and Corporate functions. Monitor KPIs and support the adoption of ETM's management model at site level.
  • Ensure adherence to GISTM social standards, review annual disclosures, and address identified gaps and risks at both site and corporate levels.

About You

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of similar work experience

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with GISTM social standards and Canadian Modern Slavery legislation.
  • Skilled in ESG data collection, validation, and reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong experience managing stakeholder records, grievances, and critical issues across corporate and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated success in managing ESG-related projects, supervising consultants, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in preparing sustainability reports, board-level presentations, and responses to ESG surveys and assurance processes.
