As part of the IT Services System Operator team, the IT Specialist I-IV is responsible for application support of the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) which includes software support, configuration, maintenance, and application development for both the ADMS software and its interfaces to other systems. The Application Specialist will report to Digital Technology and work out of our Energy Control Center.
Key functions include:
• Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) Project
• ADMS/SCADA software support, configuration and maintenance
• Application support and development
• On-call support
Our ideal teammate will have one of the following:
• Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Engineering OR two-year college diploma in relevant discipline combined with two years of relevant work experience
• One year of experience in software development OR
• One year of experience in SCADA or other industrial control system
• Experience with Windows Server management or Database management would be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
