JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of Communications and Marketing, the Communications Advisor - Public Health applies their expertise in strategic communications in the field of public health. They work closely with the Public Health team and contribute to the achievement of its objectives, while ensuring alignment with those of Vitalité Health Network.

The advisor develops and implements innovative, results-oriented communication strategies to promote the health and wellness of the population. They coordinate the development, production and distribution of communication tools (brochures, websites, social networks, press releases, etc.), ensuring their relevance and clarity. In addition to informing, raising awareness and mobilizing the population around public health issues, the successful candidate will organize events and workshops to promote the sector's initiatives.

To ensure the effectiveness of the strategies implemented, the incumbent analyzes the impact of communication activities and produces regular reports on the results achieved, accompanied by recommendations for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in communications, journalism, public relations, public health or health promotion, combined with a minimum of five years' relevant experience in the field;
  • Equivalent training and experience may also be considered;
  • Good knowledge of current public health issues and needs in terms of health promotion and disease and injury prevention;
  • Analytical skills and creativity to tackle problems in innovative ways;
  • Strategic mindset and ability to implement complex, multi-faceted strategies;
  • Excellent writing skills in French and comfortable writing in English;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several files simultaneously;
  • Good knowledge of social media and its use in organizational communications;
  • Knowledge of Web platforms as well as graphic design and video editing software;
  • Creativity, innovation, open-mindedness and flexibility;
  • Collaborative spirit, resourcefulness and professional engagement;
  • Motivation to achieve excellence and contribute to continuous improvement;
  • Valid driver's licence (travel required as part of the job );
  • Ability to perform any other related tasks;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
