Human Resources Advisor - Apprenticeship and Programs

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for enhancing early career programs, including Co-op, Apprenticeship, Technician, Graduate Engineer and Graduate Intern.
- Executes early career programs to align with Hydro's talent strategy and workforce needs.
- Advises on program structure, employee rotation planning and long-term talent pipeline development.
- Monitors participant progress and provide strategic insight to improve program outcomes.
- Analyzes program data/metrics and feedback to identify trends in program performance, metrics, and participant feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develops and coordinates full cycle recruitment processes for Graduate programs, Apprenticeship and Co-op programs including onboarding, scheduling, background checks and program logistics.
- Responsible for on-the-job training (un-paid work-terms) and working with business partners and recruitment team in ensuing compliance and quality opportunities.
- Implements student engagement strategy, including outreach to secondary and post-secondary institutions, coordination of job fairs, and sponsored events, etc.
- Coaches leaders on best practices for mentoring, performance feedback and career progression for early talent.
- Serves as corporate liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g post-secondary institutions and apprenticeship boards).
- Supports participants and supervisor throughout the program through regular check-in and tracking of progress.
- Supports supervisors and managers through performance management, logistics, training, and materials support.
- Ensures consistency, fairness, and alignment with EDI goals.
- Ensures compliance with collective agreements, employment legislation and internal policies.

What You'll Need:
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- A Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) or another relevant designation would be an asset.
- 5 years experience in Human Resources, with specific experience in early career programs, recruitment, performance management and/or labour relations.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and advise, leaders at all levels on associated HR programs and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and provide data-driven results.
- A good working knowledge of computers with appropriate awareness of various corporate applications as necessary. These may include, but are not limited to the Microsoft Office, HR Information Systems (e.g., JD Edwards), and reporting applications such (e.g., Showcase Strategy).
