We are looking to create an inventory of Process Improvement Facilitators (Lean Six Sigma Black Belts) for various positions across GNB.

If you are an individual with a strong sense of initiative who is agile, outcomes-focused, highly motivated, and positive-thinking, then the role of Process Improvement Facilitator (LSS Black Belt) is for you! This role also provides opportunities to help build community with other Lean Six Sigma practitioners within GNB and grow your network by collaborating with other passionate problem solvers, along with learning and applying new approaches to facilitating both in person and virtually.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training and certification will be provided to the successful candidate, where necessary.

What will you be doing?

The Process Improvement Facilitator will be responsible and accountable for (the technical items):

  • Identify, enhance and sustain improved business processes, organizational performance and services.
  • Help drive a culture of continuous improvement through leading and facilitating process improvement initiatives using the Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology.
  • Lead and support process owners and executive champions through prioritized projects that may include corporate GNB, cross departmental and departmental projects.
  • Performance measurement – support process owners and executive champions to define performance outcomes and measures.
  • Collaborate on project delivery with other disciplines (i.e. Project Management, Change Management, Innovation Design, Business Analysis); and
  • Coach executives and employees working on simple to complex projects on defining challenges, understanding process performance gaps, stakeholder assessments, data analysis, process design and control plans.

Need to have (Essential qualifications and skills):

  • A university degree and a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work experience.
  • Ability to use office technology, software and applications.
  • Presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with demonstrated persistence and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Experience working within changing environments, with people leaders.
  • Excellent communication, strong facilitation, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Subject to the response of this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for some positions. Other positions will require written and spoken competence in English only. Nice to have (Asset qualifications):

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • Existing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, problem solving and change management
  • Experience with quality/process improvement
  • Experience with data science

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one, or a combination, of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

Salary: $76,622 - $101,920 annually
