As part of the Materials Handling team, the Continuous Ship Unloader Operator (Shift) role is responsible for the overall function of unloading ships safely and in a timely matter ensuring coal availability for the plant.

Key functions include:

• Operating the continuous ship unloader and associated raw coal receiving system including plant feed system.
• Operating super sucker and heavy equipment.
• Cleaning spills, gypsum, coal, ash, fire hose, in addition to shovelling and general labor work.

Our ideal teammate will have:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate
• Three years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment such as hoes, wood harvesters, loaders and/or cranes
• Valid Class 1 Driver's License as an asset

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
