Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.
What you will do
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- overseeing the full cycle of the recruitment process and chairing the board of examiners;
- advising and guiding hiring managers on staffing options and selection criteria;
- collaborating with HR teams to align recruitment efforts with strategic workforce initiatives;
- drafting job advertisements and supporting documentation for appointment processes;
- promoting, building and maintaining talent pools and programs to proactively support current and future hiring needs, while representing the organization at career fairs and recruitment events;
- organizing, planning and leading career fairs;
- researching and preparing reports in relation to recruitment activities.
Work environment:
- Office location: 440 King Street, Fredericton.
- Open office layout.
- Standard hours of work. Monday – Friday.
- We promote a scent-reduced environment.
- Some travel within the province will be required.

Essential Qualifications:
- A university bachelor's degree in a related field OR a two (2) year post-secondary diploma in a related field with a minimum of two (2) years related work experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Some positions require written and spoken competence in English and in French. Others will require written and spoken competence in English or in French only. Please state your language capacity.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following asset:
- experience conducting interviews in the public sector.
- experience utilizing Behavioral Event Interviewing (BEI) techniques to evaluate candidates.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualification in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY:
Pay Band 3: $2,017.00 to $2,818.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
