Finance Manager - Family Office & Business Support
Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with our client in search of a Finance Manager - Family Office & Business Support for their office in St. John's, NL.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Finance Manager to manage the financial affairs of our entrepreneurial CEO, including personal investments, private companies, and broader family office interests.
This role can be Part Time or Full Time. This role will also support the broader business group with select accounting tasks depending on hours and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Family Office / Personal Investment Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records for personal and investment holding companies
- Track cash flow, loans, and capital across various entities
- Prepare internal financial statements and reporting packages
- Monitor investment performance and provide recommendations on new opportunities
- Evaluate new opportunities for investment
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and financial advisors as needed
Business Support (As applicable in a full-time capacity):
- Assist with GL accounting, or special finance projects across active operating companies
- Support the CFO and finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
- CPA designation required
- 5 + years of experience in accounting or finance; family office, investment, or multi-entity experience a strong asset
- Strong understanding of private equity, real estate, and corporate structures
- High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., Xero)
- Self-starter who can work independently and communicate effectively
