Under the general supervision of the Information Services Coordinator, this temporary assignment is responsible for updating the online Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) database.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Enter and modify information in the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) database
•Update Criminal Justice Information Management (CJIM) where criminal records are stored
•Removal of information (i.e. undertakings, probations, warrants, accused entries) for audit purposes
•Enter additional sentences to files as required
•Verify CPIC entry with JIS and paper file in Records to ensure accuracy
•CPIC auto corrections

Essential Qualifications:

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems and general office equipment
•Strong organization skills
•High attention to detail
•Approved Saint John Police Force security clearance
•Will be required to complete an on-line course to learn how to use CJIM

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

•The successful candidate must possess a diploma in Office Administration from NBCC or Business Certificate 1 from UNB or an equivalent program.
