JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Respiratory Therapy and Electrodiagnostic Services, the manager plans, evaluates, organizes, harmonizes, coordinates and monitors Electrodiagnostics activities to provide quality services to patients. They establish policies and procedures in accordance with the administrative management, as well as the professionals standards of Vitalité Health Network and the profession. They define clinical approaches and are responsible for managing budgets, purchasing equipment and supplies, managing human resources, as well as risk and quality management. They also plan activities aligned with the department's strategic plan, the Network's priorities and identified needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Member in good standing of an electrodiagnostics association;
  • Completion of a management course or any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent (an asset);
  • Minimum of five years' clinical experience;
  • Management or supervisory experience considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, evaluating and improving services, as well as in resolving conflicts and problems;
  • Strategic-thinking skills and an innovative and collaborative management style;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to delegate duties and responsibilities;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
  • Participatory leadership style that focuses on clients and outcomes and inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
  • Willingness to actively engage in change, embrace it and manage it with a positive attitude;
  • Ability to use evidence to support decision making;
  • Interpersonal skills that foster a welcoming climate, client care and effective communication;
  • Proven strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Meditech software applications;
  • Sincere desire to improve one's professional knowledge and skills and ability to stimulate professional interest within the team;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility in working hours;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
