Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.
What you will do
Reporting to the Office Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- providing a variety of administrative support services;
- maintaining filing systems (both physical and electronic);
- preparing and formatting correspondence;
- receiving and tracking invoices and budgets;
- tracking correspondence and approvals related to SNB accounts payable processes;
- coordinating travel and accommodations;
- coordinating and organizing meetings and training events;
- ordering office supplies and equipment;
- tracking employee's training and maintaining employee's files;
- tracking Key performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety and collaborate with the Wellness, Health and Safety Branch;
- verifying and preparing reports;
- updating NB511 system with information for the public.
Work environment:
- Office location: 1310 Water Street, Miramichi.
- Open office layout.
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday.
- Some overtime work may be required.

Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary program in the area of business, office management or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing administrative support in an office environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualification:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following asset:
- experience in accounting and/or finance.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualification in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY:
Administrative Services Level 3: $1,625.00 to $1,971.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
