(MAPSWS) is a provincial industry-led non-profit organization dedicated to building inclusive, diverse, and welcoming workplaces in all skilled trades industries of New Brunswick. MAPSWS delivers four services: NB-MAP, New Boots: Progressing Women in Trades, First in Trades (FIT) and Skilled Trades Exploration Program (STEP). Reporting to the ED, we are currently seeking a for an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Coordinator, either full or part-time.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing and communication plan for MAPSWS programs and events, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Actively manage relationships with network members, partners and collaborators, to foster growth across our social channels.
  • Manage media relations, including writing press releases.
  • Contribute creative ideas for content and collaborate with team members to execute engaging social strategies.
  • Create compelling and engaging content for our website, social media platforms, and other marketing channels including graphics and videos, with social media being the priority.
  • Manage and grow our social media presence across various platforms, interact with followers, dealer marketing teams, and create engaging content to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Track performance metrics, compile analytics reports, and provide insights to continually optimize social engagement and campaign success.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all campaigns and materials.
  • Promote skilled trades careers while travelling throughout the province to career fairs and partners events.
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Communications, Marketing, or Public relations preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to regularly travel throughout NB (including multi-day overnight travel).
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for social media, digital marketing, and influencer management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism (French/English) is a strong asset.
  • Experience with graphic design tools is a plus.

  • Understanding of skilled trades and apprenticeship, as well as experience with Equity Deserving Groups.
