FACULTY OF EDUCATION
The Undergraduate Office in the Faculty of Education oversees all undergraduate Education programs, including in-person and online Bachelor of Education degrees, the Wabanaki BEd, Adult Education programs, and the DAUS program. The office also leads the development of new programs to address the evolving needs of today's educators.

Salary Range: $23.48 - $27.26 per hour
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs, the BEd Program Coordinator Assistant provides direct assistance to the Coordinator of Student Programs and BEd Early Childhood Education Coordinator.
- Provide academic advising in person, via email, and MS Teams to prospective 10-month BEd students regarding admission requirements and undergraduate course planning.
- Advise FEAA students within their degree programs on how to meet progress criteria for the 10-month BEd program, in consultation with student faculty advisors.
- Advise accepted and incoming applicable students on course planning and teacher certification requirements.
- Support the Coordinator of Student Programs by responding to email inquiries about the 10-month BEd program.
- Review student enrolment and course registration for accuracy; follow up with students throughout the academic year.
- Assist prospective students during campus tours. Support Open House and recruitment events.
- Support the 10-month BEd admissions process.
- Help coordinate student orientation alongside BEd staff and faculty.
- Share course registration details and track student progress throughout the year.
- Support BEd ECE practicum coordination by tracking placement details, maintaining timelines, facilitating connections with Faculty Representatives and school personnel, and communicating with school sites upon practicum completion.
- Send BEd ECE practicum-related financial forms and track Faculty Representative payments for submission to the Financial Coordinator.
- Assist with planning and delivering virtual orientations for the BEd ECE program and practicum.
- Create and update physical displays in the faculty for student welcome and graduation.
- Maintain digital files and student records as needed.
- Support the Coordinator in advising and registration for BEd ECE graduates in the DAUS program.
- Other duties as required.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post-Secondary Education, either a certificate, diploma or bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience working in an office setting.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Strengths
- Working knowledge of the New Brunswick public education system and/or early childhood education settings.
- Experience with UNB systems such as Informer 5, Cascade, and Colleague is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and other relevant technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), coupled with effective problem-solving abilities. A high degree of patience and professionalism is essential.
