Salary Range: $52,442.00 to $73,268.00 per annum.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Advertising, the Graphic Designer is responsible for creating marketing campaigns and material for online and traditional media as well as supporting the team in the development of various print, collateral and support material. From conceptualization to implementation, this role also provides support in various areas in alignment with the strategic objectives of the College.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide graphic design for various types of projects including: brand, social and digital ads, web elements, print, outdoor, brochures, posters, and other support material.
- Provide motion graphic design and design elements specific to digital media.
- Contribute design ideas, concepts and artwork as part of a collaborative marketing team
- Provide consulting services to internal clients with graphic design needs, and work with the marketing team to develop concepts to suit their purpose.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand specific market and business needs that inform visual strategies.
- Ensuring design integrity and brand consistency throughout all communications.
- Represent the Marketing Department in meetings and collaborate with members of other departments in an effort to better understand projects and gather insights.
- Coordinate and manage multiple, varied projects that may range from a single day to many months.
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or related discipline with a minimum of five (5) relevant years of experience.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in agency, marketing, or internal communications environments.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design software applications and tools.
- Proficient with Apple/Mac systems and platforms.
- Experience with image optimization and photo retouching.
- Experience with Print Production.
- Expertise and proficiency in typography.
- Experience managing several projects and deadlines at the same time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Photography experience an asset.
