SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the manager or their replacement, the successful candidate delivers, in accordance with professional standards, a range of clinical nutrition services designed to meet the nutritional needs of inpatients and/or outpatients of Tracadie Hospital. The incumbent is responsible for performing a nutritional assessment of patients and determining the nutritional intervention that meets their need. The incumbent also participates in the planning and implementation of departmental activities, which may include activities related to quality improvement, performance management, gathering statistics and the training and orientation of students or other health professionals.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians or be eligible for membership;
• Experience in clinical nutrition considered an asset;
• Initiative, and excellent planning and organizational skills;
• Interest in developing competencies in a specialized field considered an asset;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Sound judgment, initiative, creativity and ability to adapt to change;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
