Contributes to the overall success of the HR Risk and Controls Management team in Global Specialized Human Resources Services, ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team's strategies and objectives. Ensures compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to global HR data governance activities, including governance programs, frameworks, policies, procedures, and quality controls.
- Ensure compliance with data protection frameworks, identify potential threats to data privacy, and implement protective measures.
- Support operational aspects of the data lifecycle by collaborating with data consumers to define and address critical data quality challenges.
- Gather, organize, and ensure the accuracy of data for analysis, decision-making, and compliance.
- Lead the consolidation of disparate data and ensure sustainable understanding of data flows across platforms.
- Assist data owners in institutionalizing an enhanced understanding of information assets at various levels (aggregate, concept, attribute).
- Consider the Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
- Pursue efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
- Ensure effective business controls to meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
- Promote a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, data management, or technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Spanish is a strong asset
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS365.
- Strong ability to assess requirements and deliver high-quality results.
- Anticipate partner needs and add value.
- Team-oriented and customer-focused.
- Adaptable and effective in diverse team settings.
