The Data Platform Management team is looking for a Manager, Data Platforms Risk & Audit Management to lead the team's risk management and audit remediation activities. Working with the Data Office, technology partners and risk and audit stakeholder, this role will be responsible for ensuring alignment between our data platform strategy and roadmaps with committed audit deliverables and for leading the design and execution of a risk and audit management program.
The selected candidate will play a crucial part in defining and implementing a Data Risk and Control Framework and its associated processes for Data Risk identification, monitoring and reporting, partnering with various businesses and functions to strengthen Risk Management practices.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Develop and execute a framework for risk and audit issues management, including the creation of a risk and audit issue registry for data platforms.
- Track risk and audit remediation tasks and ensure they are being addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate issue remediation activities with and drive a consistent engagement from issue owners and stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide subject matter expertise and act as the primary point of contact for risk and audit management activities.
- Support and maintain Data Platforms risk and audit related documentation and tools
- Manage follow-ups on the new findings raised from regulatory and internal divisional audits to ensure all deliverables are up-to-date and properly documented
- Assess risks, identify key controls, and document appropriate risk mitigation plans to execute on audit deliverables. Applicants should be able to identify control gaps effectively and efficiently, as well as summarize and clear findings with senior stakeholders.
- Ensure data platform roadmaps are in alignment with audit commitments and include solutions to address identified risks.
- Support Issue Owners in defining Management Action Plans in response to new audit findings.
- Communicate risk and audit issues to executive leadership and provide insights and recommendations for risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in risk management practices.
- Experience auditing design and operating effectiveness of data controls frameworks in large scale organizations or an experienced IT Risk professional with an interest and desire to expand into data controls framework.
- The ability to effectively manage senior stakeholder relationships, building credibility and trust, demonstrating strong communication, technology and auditing skills and business understanding to effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Experience managing large projects in complex operational environments and working with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to independently perform and manage risk and controls assessments, end-to-end, and ability to effectively collaborate with audit teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communications skills to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders, communicate ambiguous topics in a structured manner and deliver presentations/demos.
- Attention to details, high standards for quality.

- Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end-to-end ownership on behalf of the Product Owner during project execution, knowing when to assume responsibility for the related project deliverables, or seek approval.
- Knowledge of various training methodologies and ability to tailor it depending on the needs of the business groups
- Strong verbal and business writing skills: with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels in the organization in a cross-functional environment
- Skilled in the project lifecycle, its various methodologies and expected outputs.
- Analytical and a strong problem solver with the drive to push the solution and progress
- Demonstrated experience with working with a technology product from end to end, all the way through to delivery
- Experience working with the Agile process and principals
- CBAP or other BA Certification is preferred
- University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent degree designation is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in a financial services industry, preferably back-office environment
- Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce certification is preferred
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence
