Title: Senior Communications Specialist, Digital Asset Management

In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with organizational priorities.
- Provide expert advice on communication strategies, messaging, and tactics to leaders and program managers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support crisis communication planning and response.
- Monitor and evaluate communication efforts, using insights to refine strategies and improve impact.
- Manage communication budgets and ensure alignment with financial policies.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Create engaging and compelling content, both written and visual, while ensuring consistency with the organization's brand voice and messaging.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to support staff adoption and understanding of communication tools, digital systems, and brand guidelines.
- Participate in enterprise-level initiatives related to digital asset management, knowledge management, digitization, and related strategic projects that advance information stewardship and innovation.
- Stay current with industry best practices, legal considerations, and technological advancements in communications and digital asset management to inform strategy and system use.
- Ensure communications and digital asset use comply with legal, privacy, and rights-related requirements by identifying and managing risk and supporting the development of related policies and workflows.
- Contribute to the administration and optimization of systems supporting digital content and asset management, including vendor coordination, lifecycle workflows, updates, and training for users.
- Assist with media monitoring, metrics tracking, and evaluation of communication and digital asset performance, including analysis of engagement, compliance, and ROI.
What we are looking for:
- Completion of post-secondary education (at least a 2-year college program) AND a minimum of 3 years of job-related work experience in digital asset management role.
- Demonstrated success working with digital asset management solutions and workflows in a complex enterprise creative environment
- Solid technical background and experience managing large, multi-phase technical projects.
- Experience with and understanding of a variety of digital file formats, particularly media file types, and their metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP, etc.)
- Developing and maintaining metadata schemas for large collections.
- Proven success as a key member of a large, cross-functional team; able to work equally well with people in business, creative, and technical positions.
- Experience training staff and/or volunteers on best practices and policies.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products.
- Knowledge of best practices for digital asset management, as well as implementing new asset management processes within large organizations
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products
- Fanatical about creating order from disorder; understands the "correct" level of process to apply to different projects
- Able to apply sound judgment while working independently within tight timelines
- Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Excellent oral and written communicator, with great interpersonal skills; able to forge trusting relationships within a diverse team
- Demonstrated commitment going above and beyond to help customers, system users, or patrons in solving problems or locating information
- Must be comfortable reviewing and categorizing French content. Fluency in French an asset
