Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the HR Generalist is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of human resource functions including occupational health and safety oversight, labour relations support, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and general HR management. This role plays a key part in supporting ECL's leadership team and fostering a healthy, respectful, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and support ECL's Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program in compliance with provincial legislation and internal policies.
• Support labour relations activities, including grievance handling, collective agreement interpretation, and union communication.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts to attract and retain qualified staff.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies.
• Administer employee benefits, compensation, and leave programs, including reporting and compliance.
• Maintain HR records, systems, and data integrity in accordance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to support organizational planning and workforce development.

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
CHRP designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in healthcare or a unionized environment.
Strong understanding of employment standards, OHS regulations, and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern HR tools.
