Responsibilities

As a member of the Student Services team, under the direction of the Manager, Student Services, you will:

  • Assist with the provision of Learning Support Services, primarily Testing Services, Tutoring Services, and Educational Technology Services. 
  • As part of the Student Services Team, you will support services that help students with learning, adjustments to college life, and accessing services which support them in achieving their goals of personal and academic success.
  • You will be responsible for the administration of the Testing Center and invigilation of internal and external testing, supports approved test accommodations and the assistive technology needs of students with disabilities and play a key role in the coordination, delivery and promotion of services offered in the Learning Commons.
  • You will be responsible for oversight and administration of processes and procedures; liaising with faculty, responding to inquiries; making referrals; collecting and recording service delivery data; and supporting campus events, activities and initiatives.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in an area related to Adult Education, Educational Technology, Administrative and Business Services or Social Services, Library Technician.
  • You have a minimum of two years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience with strong computer literacy skills.
  • Occupational experience that includes working in an adult educational environment would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-maill, Office 365 and Assistive Technology. Experience with PeopleSoft, Brightspace, Assistive Technology (e.g. Read and Write software), and eCampus would be considered a strong asset.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to all students including students with disabilities would be considered a strong asset.
