We are currently looking to fill the position of Housing and Residence Representative to join our Housing and Conference Services team.

Job Information and Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director, Housing & Conference Services, the Housing and Residence Representative will:
  • Function as the initial point of contact for all clients of the Department of Housing &
  • Conference Services and provides extensive administrative support for the department.
  • Process applications for all forms of residence accommodation for all terms and provides customer service to clients, in person, and via telephone and e-mail.
  • Ensure the proper receipt and processing of all deposits and payments and approved refunds of the same.
  • Prepare payroll for student employees and manages the departmental petty cash and purchasing cards.
  • Receives and inputs all non-academic, internal room bookings.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • To be the successful Housing and Residence Life Representative you will have:
  • High School completion, plus a one-year Community College business course.
  • Minimum one-year related experience.
  • PA high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Outlook, and database management.
  • Extensive experience with StarRez, including the StarRez Portal X and StarRez Web.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and excellence with typing, data entry, and mail merge.
  • Experience handling cash and balancing.
  • Experience with rental agreements and/or leases.
  • Experience working with students and/or in a post-secondary educational environment.
  • Experience working with and appreciation for diverse populations.
  • Experience with Internet native Banner (INB) a definite asset.
  • Website maintenance experience an asset.
