The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of iLEAD leadership learning for High Potential talent and Executives, ensuring alignment with business outcomes, Talent CoE priorities and global learning initiatives. This role is responsible for delivering a modern, digital and relevant leadership learning experience for Executives across Scotiabank, working closely with Business Leaders, Human Resources, Talent CoE, Gobal Learning and other relevant groups to identify and implement best in-class leadership learning solutions in Scotiabank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, your primary focus will be to:
- Lead and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of iLEAD leadership learning programs for high potential talent and Executives, ensuring alignment with Businnes outcomes, Talent priorities and learning strategy.
- Manage the redesign and execution of the global iLEAD leadership learning offer, ensuring alignment with Bank strategy, values and competencies
- Collaborate and consults with Business HR, Learning Advisors and Learning CoE in the design, development and execution of leadership learning programs to support business and people strategies across Business Lines, by using a performance consulting approach to ensure that leadership learning solutions address defined performance and development gaps.
- Lead the Leadership learning content, targeted at new capability development for Executives and High Potential talent and collaborates with the learning organization to implement global certification programs and standars, building capabilities across the Bank.
- Collaborate with Learning Strategy and Insights team to develop the evaluation strategy to measure and evaluate leadership learning resources and programs to ensure effectiveness.
- Develop ongoing relationships with Leadership COE, Learning COE and Business HR to identify and understand leadership learning needs and requirements for building future-ready capabilities., and manages vendor relationships to optimize learning program development and deployment when it is not possible to complete internally.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations within his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
- Build a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team. Develops people by using a coaching mindset and behaviours
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Performance Consulting, Adult Education, Educational Technology, or Instructional Design required
- Significant experience in designing and developing leadership learning programs required
- Degree, certificate or designation in adult learning is required
- Strong knowledge of learning theories and learning practices
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of Bank's business strategy and how Learning can support them
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and results
- Strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery/implementation of learning initiatives and programs
- Superior prioritization and time management skills
- Strong business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups
- Understands how the data relates to actions and results for an individual person or team
- Spanish language skills are an asset
