Department: Housing New Brunswick (HNB)
Placement Description: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Policy Specialist student to support our policy team in developing, analyzing, and implementing public policy initiatives. Working closely with senior policy experts, the student will conduct in-depth research on various policy issues, analyze legislative trends, and compile reports to provide valuable insights. They will assist in drafting policy briefs, memos, and proposals while also engaging with external stakeholders such as government agencies and advocacy groups. The role includes maintaining policy documents, preparing materials for meetings and presentations, and providing administrative support like scheduling and event coordination. Additionally, the student will contribute to internal communications by researching and developing content for the intranet site and other communication materials within the policy team.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.
Need to have:

- Confident self-starter, not afraid to try new things, and learn on the fly
Nice to have: Well-developed writing and editing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Aptitude with working in modern technologies (Microsoft 365/SharePoint an asset).
