Placement Description: The Primary Health Care Branch is responsible for planning, funding, and monitoring primary health care services in New Brunswick. We work closely with Regional Health Authorities and partners responsible for delivering these services.
This role offers an opportunity to gain insight into government processes in the high-priority area of health care, specifically planning and monitoring of primary care services. The successful student's learning agreement and workplan will be negotiated based on their skills and availability. Tasks may vary weekly and could include supporting process documentation and development, organizing and responding to data requests as well as researching and introducing new tools to support the branch's work.
This role provides valuable hands-on experience and professional skill development in the public health sector.
Need to have:
- Language requirement: English or Bilingual
- Students in the later years of post-secondary studies in programs such as Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Nice to have: A student with interests in systems, innovation, technology, data science and planning services.
