Salary: $17.50/hour

Hours per week: Flexible (around 10 hours)

Placement Duration: September – December 2025

Department: Natural Resources and Energy Development (DNRED)

Placement Description: The Leasing and Licensing Intern will support the Crown Lands Branch in addressing outstanding applications, overholding leases, and licenses. This role involves conducting file research, organizing the backlog, tracking outstanding files, and assisting in the refinement of the branch's filing systems. In addition to file management responsibilities, the intern will contribute meaningfully to a team focused on improving internal processes. This includes supporting the development and implementation of standardized templates and standard operating procedures (SOP's). This position offers valuable hands-on experience and skill development in public administration, document management, and process improvement within a government setting.

This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.

Need to have:

  • Language requirement: English or Bilingual
  • Ideally upper year students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.

Nice to have: Skills in document organization, an attention to detail and a proficiency with Excel.
