Job Description:

Job Summary

The Strategic Analysis and Support team, within TD Securities Finance, is responsible for the management reporting of results for the Wholesale Bank and its Regional Offices, financial planning, forecasting, peer analytics as well as research and analysis support for our business partners.

This role is reporting into the Senior Manager, Strategic Analysis and Support, TD Securities Finance, and will be responsible for managing a variety of strategic analysis and projects in support of Wholesale Banking.

Job description
  • Assist with activities related to month end close, forecasting and planning, peer analytics, Monthly Operating Results, regional reporting, as well as perform various other ad-hoc presentations as required.

  • Liaise with our finance partners (e.g. Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets, Expenses, Regional Offices) and business partners to gather relevant information in order to understand and prepare relevant reports.

  • Conduct industry research and prepare presentations on the businesses' performance relative to our competitors to compare business strategies, financial results and identify industry trends.

  • Identify innovative ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's processes and be able to gain buy-in and support to execute on those opportunities.

Role Requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with key business and finance partners, and other stakeholders, and effectively communicate relevant / meaningful recommendations to various stakeholders.

  • Advanced Excel skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.

  • Understanding of capital markets and the TD Securities products and businesses is preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to meet deadlines with the ability to multi-task and work independently.

Education/ Other Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance.

  • Accounting or industry specific designation is preferred (i.e. CA, CMA, CGA, CFA, MBA).

  • High level proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of the Bank's management and financial reporting processes is preferred.
