Department Overview:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for building organizational capability in managing risk on a more integrated and comprehensive basis for the organization and for promoting a strong risk culture within TD. The team is accountable for the development and implementation of an enterprise risk management strategy, governance, policies and practices, reporting and operating frameworks, and operations associated with the Risk Management function.
TD applies the "Three Lines of Defence" model to risk management as defined in the Enterprise Risk Framework. As part of the second line of defence, the ERM team assures the appropriate design, implementation, and/or execution of (applicable components of) the TD risk management framework.
ERM collaborates with a broad network of business and risk management practitioners and other corporate functions in all jurisdictions where the Bank has business activities.
The successful candidate will gain an enterprise-wide perspective of TD and exposure to numerous risk management, business, and corporate function groups.
Job Description/Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Governance (ERG) – Reporting, the key accountability of the position is the production of clear, impactful, timely risk reporting. In this role, the reports produced are presented to Senior Management, the CRO and the Board. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, with both written and visual presentation skills, and with a demonstrated ability to work across the organization on high profile deliverables, including:
- Leading the production process of the TD Risk Dashboard by consolidating the submitted information from the dashboard teams across multiple corporate and/or business segments and providing an effective challenge on the submitted ratings, commentary and key issues identified by applying risk management knowledge.
- Updating and maintaining documentation associated with the dashboard, including procedures, standards, and guidelines. Maintenance of the Risk Appetite book of record for RAS measure results. This includes updating the measures as approved by the Risk Committee, the list of measure contacts for reporting and excess escalation and managing the RAS measure excess notification documentation.
- Working closely with the business segments and corporate partners to ensure risk profile reporting is compliance with the relevant regulatory expectations and framework or standards by providing guidance and implementation oversight.
- Support the design and implementation of solutions for reporting to automate and improve processes, using tools such as Power Platform, Power Automate, SharePoint, etc. to collect, store and manage reporting data.
- Support the development of new and advance existing ERM reports using modern visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Support and assist with the annual ERM program activities such the Risk Appetite Statement and associated processes. This includes coordination, analysis and challenge, quality assurance and production of materials.
- Regulatory / Audit Requests: Managing and coordinating regulatory and audit related requests as assigned.
- Other accountabilities as assigned by senior management, including assisting with data analysis and presentations, supporting other key governance initiatives and processes within the Enterprise Risk Governance Group.
The candidate will work collaboratively with business partners to provide effective support and manage additional responsibilities as outlined above.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years' experience in a control function (Risk Management / Audit / Compliance) preferred.
- Experience with reporting, committee / meeting governance and procedures an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience developing data management solutions using Power Platform, PowerApps, Dataverse, etc. preferred.
- Experience migrating and/or developing new and existing reporting to visualization tools to solutions such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. preferred.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
- Ability to connect-the-dots to engage the right partners.
- Enjoys working in a team environment but also able to work independently.
- Ability to understand and interpret regulations and policies.
- Demonstrated project/process management skills, including developing and tracking to established timelines.
- Good awareness of the organization, and business products and services is desired.
- Ability to use influencing skills to implement changes and build consensus an asset.
