Hours: 75 bi-weekly (8-hour day shifts, on-call required) Your hours of work will follow the flexible work schedule in accordance with Article 19.01(a) of the NAPE-HP Collective Agreement, based on 150 hours within a designated 4-week period (by mutual agreement).
Salary: CG-39 (CAD40.83 - CAD49.58 per hour) which includes a negotiated wage adjustment

Job Summary
Provides quality service to clients through the delivery of professional social work services in the area of Community Supports Program; provides counselling, assessment and referral services; manages caseloads and prepares and analyses reports. The Social Worker will be responsible to provide field instruction to Social Work students and offer other clinical education experience to students within NL Health Services.
This position reports to the Division Manager for Community Supports and maintains accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Social Work for professional integrity and practice issues.

Job Qualifications
Graduation with an accredited Bachelor of Social Work Degree is required.
Current and continuing registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers (NLASW) is required.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including but not limited to, Mental Health Care and Treatment Act, Adult Protection Act, Advanced Health Care Directives Act, Medical Assistance in Dying, and the Children, Youth and Families Act.
Knowledge of community resources, systems and programs.
Knowledge of crisis invention and supportive counseling
Knowledge of case management
Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise and mentor students.
Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment and interventions with individuals, families and groups.
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to deliver/facilitate effective presentations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an inter-professional environment, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
