JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, the Corporate Director of General and Internal Medicine, Rehabilitation Units and Palliative Care is responsible for the strategic, clinical and operational management of these sectors across the Network. Their primary mandate is to ensure excellence in patient care, optimize clinical trajectories and promote integration and continuity of services, from admission to return to the community or end-of-life care.

A mobilizing and visionary leader, the incumbent leads clinical and administrative teams in an interdisciplinary, patient-centred and performance-driven approach. They oversee the efficient organization of medical services, the development of best practices in rehabilitation, and the delivery of palliative care marked by compassion and dignity. They ensure coordination between the various care environments – including short- and long-term care units, community partners and specialized teams – to guarantee consistent and seamless care.

Committed to continuous improvement, the incumbent draws on clinical data, performance indicators and best practices to support decision making, encourage innovation and improve patient outcomes. They also play a role as a leader of change, contributing to the evolution of the care model and the implementation of a learning approach, particularly in the care of seniors and people living with chronic illnesses.

Working closely with other clinical departments, partner physicians, managers and regional authorities, they play a key role in developing and implementing strategic directions designed to meet the complex needs of a diverse patient base, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compassionate care.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in health, administration or management;
  • Master's degree (MBA, MPA, Master's in Health Services Management) considered an asset;
  • 8 to 10 years' professional experience relevant to the profession or in health services management;
  • Excellent knowledge of the hospital system, its administration and its legal framework;
  • Experience in project management and multidisciplinary leadership;
  • Ability to work towards results-oriented goals;
  • Strong listening, intervention and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Versatility, adaptability and responsiveness;
  • Strong change management skills;
  • Dynamic and innovative approach;
