We are currently looking to hire three (3) Asset Management Technology Analysts (Operational Technology) to provide highly skilled security expertise and operational support for Nova Scotia Power within the Power Production or Energy Delivery teams. You will be the prime change agent for all aspects of cyber security and work collaboratively with all external and internal stakeholders, this will include travel to all company sites from Wreck Cove to Tusket.
As a key member of the Operational Technology (OT), you will work closely with the Enterprise Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams, external cyber security partners and vendors, delivering on system architectures and designs, security best practices, and ensure governance of robust configurations to protect our operational network. As the ideal candidate, you have an ability to build and maintain a high credibility and interact well with all groups to ensure cyber security operational controls and processes are understood and actioned appropriately.
This role will be well-suited to an experienced OT professional with a keen interest in technology innovation and strong acumen for cyber security, or an experienced cyber security professional with a keen understanding of operational controls and processes looking to expand their career within an operational technology environment.
Key elements of this role include:
As the successful candidate you will prime the operationalization of new cyber security capabilities as well as leverage existing tools and techniques to mature security practice, capabilities, and methodologies throughout the OT environment.
More specifically:
- Prime cyber security operational efficiencies for Industrial Control Systems and operational technology to improve cyber resilience of critical infrastructure.
- Prime cyber security project activities and apply a risk-based approach in all project phases including feasibility, design, test & commissioning, and into operation of the project.
- Respond to project inputs and information security issues during each stage of a project's lifecycle to meet overall project timelines and requirements.
- Define cyber security requirements, perform gap analysis, identify critical assets, and engage associated stakeholders (internal and external) in remediation.
- Lead and execute security remediation across the OT environment.
- Interface with Nova Scotia Power's Enterprise Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams as it relates to technologies and integration as needed.
- Participate in relevant team and project meetings as required to execute and scope the work and ensure continued alignment with corporate strategy.
These skills will make you successful:
- Experience in critical infrastructure and Integrated Control Systems, or understanding of technology systems such as:
- Automation / SCADA / Control Systems
- Telecommunications / Network Technology
- Information Technology / Data Centre
- Computer Sciences / Software Engineering
- Knowledge of cyber security and risk management frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply the Emera Cyber Security Framework and Standards requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Critical thinker who can demonstrate the ability to lead change.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to set appropriate expectations and deadlines while managing several tasks simultaneously.
- Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced cyber security field.
- The ability to work effectively remotely as well as travel within the province to all operational facilities.
