Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Labour Relations, the primary purpose of this position is to provide advanced administrative support to the provincial Labour Relations department, including the Provincial Director, Provincial Managers and Human Resources Consultants.
The position requires initiative and independent judgment to perform administrative Human Resources functions including grievance management, leaves of absence and union leave. The incumbent must have an in-depth knowledge of collective agreements (NAPE-HS, NAPE-HP, NAPE-LX, CUPE, and RNUNL) and NLHS policies and procedures. Work is performed with a high degree of independence with limited supervision. Deadlines impact significantly on work performed.

Work provides the opportunity to take postural breaks standing and walking within the work environment.
Job Qualifications
Education
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program (HR Concentration preferred). Consideration will also be given to candidates having a two-year office administration program and considerable progressive experience.
Experience with collective agreement administration is required.
Courses and proficiency in MS Office, Internet and various other computer applications are required.
Experience
Minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.
Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
