Title: Senior Data Analyst - Community Health & Wellbeing

In this role, you will:
- Actively participate in and contribute to data governance and management forums as a primary data steward for the CRC's Community Health & Wellbeing Business Domain.
- Build relationships and collaborate with internal, external stakeholders and vendors to identify data requirements, standardize cross-platform data management/analytics and implement solutions, ensuring that deliverables are accurate, efficient and align with business objectives and organizational standards.
- Monitor emerging trends and opportunities in the data analytics field and provide guidance and recommendations on how to leverage and implement best/promising practices to enhance the organization's data analytics capabilities and maturity.
- Lead and coordinate data analysis and reporting activities for Community Health & Wellbeing programs, services and stakeholders.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Provide technical expertise to Community Health & Wellbeing personnel, programs, and team members in best practice data analysis, governance and quality assurance methodologies, processes and tools.
- Surface and manage identified data management and protection risks and monitor for potential impact.
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of data processes, data dictionaries, requirements, and specifications.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members and technical review of the work of others.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to influence others, provide guidance and ensure work is completed, aligned to best practice and compliant with applicable data and privacy policies and legislation.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Advanced experience and skills in data modelling and visualization techniques and software. Strong background with MS Excel PowerQuery and PowerBI. Experience with DataBricks an asset.
- Adept knowledge and experience with programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL). Knowledge of geospatial tools e.g., ArcGIS and/or QGIS an asset.
- Experienced with and understanding of best practices around data management concepts, including data quality, data cleansing, standardization, metadata management, privacy, and security governance.
- Adept experience with queries, report writing and visualizing data to support decision-making (i.e., reports, dashboards, etc.)
- Proven track record of successfully delivering data analytics solutions and driving business impact, ideally in a healthcare, humanitarian or nonprofit context.
Working Conditions
- Will be working primarily in a home office, or office environment.
- May require periodic domestic travel to generally safe environments.
- All teams contributing to emergency response efforts directly or indirectly.
- All CRC roles are required to adapt work and priorities to support emergency response efforts, be present in person as required to support service delivery and deploy to emergency responses when appropriate and/or required (personnel availability and request for exceptions will be discussed with line management).
- For CRC roles that are assigned a function in the Emergency Relief operational structure (in field and virtual), personnel may be required to be part of an on-call roster and be available for scheduled on-call work.
