Definition of Work:
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Recruitment, the Recruitment Assistant will provide recruitment support to all levels of the organization. Duties may include corresponding with applicants, processing requisitions, preparing and posting vacancies, preparing applicant summaries, completing references checks, making employment offers, ensuring submission of hiring documentation, and performing other related duties within the Human Resources Department?s Employee Experience team as necessary. Work will be undertaken in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail is an integral part of the workflow. The successful applicant will work as a member of a team that is focused on providing a positive employee experience for employees of NL Health Services.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required Qualifications:
? Completion of a three-year Business Management Program with a concentration in human resource management and/or completion of other post-secondary courses in the field of human resource management.
? Knowledge of health care collective agreements.
? Proficient in the use of information technology systems including Virtual HR and Meditech.
? Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
? Ability to creatively problem solve and seek opportunities to align processes to create a positive employee experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience in the human resources field within a health care setting.
